Performances - Day 1

Premchand ki Kahani, Dastango ki Zubani

Age group: 6 years onwards
An engaging children theatre that dramatises Premchand’s Idgah drawing inspiration from Dastangoi style of enactment, initiating children to two of India’s eminent narrative cultures.

Shadow Performance from Kerala

1:00 – 2:00 PM, 25 July
Age group: 6 years onwards
3 enchanting stories, a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary stories by award winning international artists, practicing the art for 15 generations from India

Folktale – Nani Ki Kahaani

4:00 – 5:00 PM, 25 July
Age group: 4 years onwards
An interactive puppet show with audio-visual clues that’ll keep children guessing and laughing.

Kaavad Katha from Rajasthan
6:00 – 7:00 PM, 25 July
Age group: 8 years onwards
A reimagined performance of Kaavad tradition from Rajasthan. An enchanting theatrical performance in Hindi accompanied by paintings on Kaavad.

Taraka Wadh from Ramayana

Enchanting multilingual (Marathi & Hindi) performance using KalSutri- Traditional String Puppets from Maharashtra by Thakar Adivasi Kala Aangan Museum & Art Gallery.

Nandini Brings Back Love!

1:00 – 2:00 PM, 26 July
Age group: 4 years onwards
A story theatre play of Nandini who likes adventure and keeps wondering what’s on the other side of the stream. Imagined & directed by Geetanjali Kaul, Secret Passages Theatre Production

Flying Flower – Modern Puppet Show

4:00 – 5:00 PM, 26 July
Age group: 4 years onwards
A Series of small visiting where boy wants to gift his friend some flowers, the flowers take him on their journey through humorous incidents and foibles. A non verbal performance with Rod, objects and glove puppets

“The Mughal Game of Thrones” Heritage Walk
6:00 – 7:00 PM, 26 July
Age group: 8 years onwards
A theatrical performance by Darwesh Group. Let’s do a walk around Roshanara Bagh Old Delhi and re-live the struggle for succession to the Mughal throne between the brothers Dara Shikoh & Aurangzeb.
